地図で見る「江戸
= 町火消受持区域・火消配置図 = |
- 江戸町火消の受持区域を地図上に表示した火消配置図です。
- 1835年〈天保6年〉の万世江戸町鏡 や、1858年〈安政5年〉の江戸の花子供遊び 、1866年〈慶応2年〉の 改正新刊「伊呂波組纏鑑」 などに表記されている町名を現代の住所に置き換え、地図に落とし込んだもので、いろは四十八組と本所・深川十六組の、合計六十四組がどの辺りを受持区域としていたかの参考資料です。
- 南組、中組、北組は隅田川東側の本所深川地区に位置します。南、中、北の下の、それぞれの組の名前は、「いろは」などの文字ではなく一番から十六番までの数字が使われました。
- 六十四組の、それぞれの地点に目印になるものがあるとか、番所の跡のようなものがあったとかではないため、ポイントとしてではなく区域という捉え方でご覧ください。地図を拡大してもあまり意味がありません。
- 座標の取得にずれがあることも考えられ、今後の調査で位置が変更になることも考えられます。
- 地点をクリックして表示される吹き出しに、各組の火消人足の人数が表示されます。人数は、蒐集した資料の中で最も江戸末年に近い、1866年〈慶応2年〉の 改正新刊「伊呂波組纏鑑」 を基にしています。人数が最も多いのは、よ組の 720人で、六十四組の合計では 1 万 339人となっています。
